Encampment on campus

April 14th, 2014

On the weekend of April 5-6, the Wisconsin Lutheran College East Lawn was taken over by a Revolutionary War Encampment coordinated by Rose G., a History major and German minor at WLC.

The camp officially opened at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and included demonstrations such as wool processing and spinning, French bayonet practice, and a French musket drill.

Participants were dressed in Revolutionary War attire and welcomed questions to any curious passersby. Rose even used her German to explain some of the demonstrations and practices to visiting German speakers.
