Campus Tour

On April 10, students from the Elementary German 2 class conducted a tour of the Wisconsin Lutheran College campus entirely in German as part of their coursework.

 

They stopped at various destinations around campus including die Mensa (the cafeteria), das Wissenschaftsgeb?ude (the science building), and der Kraftraum (the weight room).

Tastes of German Literature & Desserts

On April 8 in the Campus Center, students from the German Literature II course presented their research on a literary figure from the top German literary epochs from the 18th and 19th centuries. The students also chose a work of said author and explained to inquirers the meaning of the work and what the work meant to them.

 

To go along with the different literary tastes, there were also German desserts available for everyone?to enjoy.

Kirche und Essen

April 7th, 2013

On April 6, German students attended St. Michaelis for Sunday worship, a church that conducts its services entirely in German. Its service is held in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Chapel. The students sang the song “Von Guter Menschen” for the congregation.

 

After the service, the students attended a uniquely German luncheon with the members of St. Michaelis and were able to converse with them in German.
