@Nosgoth1979: Thanks for the comment. We agree, Kindle is a great app; however, for a teacher, iBooks offers pairing with iAuthor and iTunes U for a truly interactive textbook experience. Thank you for sharing the Dish Remote Access app!

Great list, although I think there are way better alternatives than iBooks, for instance Kindle, but that’s just me. I love all the entertainment options having an iPad gives me. My favorite though, is definitely the Dish Remote Access app from my employer, DISH. Combined with a Sling Adapter (which is a small, inexpensive device) hooked up to my receiver, it allows me to stream all of my live channels and DVR content straight to my iPad. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who travels a lot or lives an on-the-go lifestyle.
