A recent ‘iPad for Parents’ session, offered by the Instructional Design Center at Wisconsin Lutheran College, was designed for anyone interested in learning more about mobile technology and understanding a few of the tools that schools are implementing on a large scale with students.

In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 7-11, 2012), Wisconsin Lutheran College and The Learning Shop have partnered to provide outstanding educators a chance to win one of six Apple iPads, each with a scholarship to WLC?s ?iPad in Education? course.
Last year, Liz Langer, an elementary school teacher in Wisconsin, received an iPad from her school district after she expressed an interest in utilizing iPad technology to further engage her students. She enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran College?s iPad in Education course, and has continued to research and discover remarkable ways to increase student achievement in her classroom through its use.
