The program has been approved by the CFP Board and is designed to effectively prepare students for the CFP? Exam. Demand for financial planners is growing, and Certified Financial Planner? professionals are being recruited by banks, trust companies, brokerage houses, and financial firms.

Students will complete seven courses throughout the program, earning twenty-one graduate credits.

Course Listing:

  • Personal Financial Planning Process and Environment
  • Insurance Planning
  • Income Tax Planning
  • Employee Benefit and Retirement Planning
  • Investment Planning
  • Estate Planning
  • Financial Planning Capstone

All coursework can be completed online in as little as twelve months. The program is facilitated by Dr. Brian Jacobsen, Ph.D., J.D., CFA, CFP?, associate professor of business administration and chief portfolio strategist at Wells Fargo Funds Management, LLC.

Our program is designed to provide students the flexibility of online learning, coupled with the opportunity to learn from, and interact with, experts in the financial services industry. Classes start in September 2012.
